Help your child get a better SAT score

Surprisingly enough parents too play a rather important role in their child’s education. It is important that they understand their role well in order to give the desired support to their child. Here are few tips that parents needs to keep in mind to help their kids.

Keep Calm

It is understandable to be nervous about your SAT but you also need to understand that it is important for your child to remain calm before his exam. He/She needs to sit in the exam without feeling any pressure from the parent’s side. Your anxiety will just add to your kid’s nervousness and you wouldn’t want that to happen.

Be confident:

It is important that you show a certain sense of confidence in your child’s preparation for the exams. Putting him down will only lead to lower output from his end. Your confidence will be his/her strength during the difficult hour.

Stay focused:

Many students today simply have shorter attention spans than they did in previous generations because they’ve become accustomed to the instant gratification of sending a text message or beating a video game level. Parents can help their students focus by having them study continuously, without interruption, for several minutes at a time. The students should do this in intervals, perhaps by starting with 5 minutes at a time and progressing to 10- and then 15-minute study sessions.
